Hi everyone! My name is Sandro Lezzi, and I’m going to be your new English teacher, working alongside you to foster success at school, college/university and in your future career. Honestly, I’ve been teaching for longer than I care to admit, and funnily enough, I once sat right where you’re sitting now — I studied at Liceo Scientifico Statale “Cosimo De Giorgi” in Lecce, not so many years ago! Later, I came back as a teacher, and now I’ve chosen to finish my career right here, where it all began.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m passionate about reading, especially the great classics of modern and contemporary English literature. I love going to the cinema and the theatre, watching and reviewing films, playing chess, and spending time with my black cat. His name is ‘the Dark One,’ just like Voldemort in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
Why do I love teaching? Well, being among young people helps me see the world through fresh eyes and keeps me feeling young at heart. I have two grown children who are independent now, and I’ve just become a grandfather!
